Our services

Laser cleaning services across Ireland

Each job is different, so we tune laser power, pulse and speed to the material and the contaminant. Below are the services we're asked for most. If yours isn't listed, ask us anyway.

Metals

Rust & corrosion removal

Laser cleaning removes oxidation down to sound metal without eating into the base material. It works on flat plate, structural steel, and the complex shapes that blasting can't reach evenly.

Ideal for

  • Structural steelwork and beams
  • Machinery, gears and components
  • Railings, gates and ironwork
  • Tanks, pipework and valves

Benefits

  • Clean surface ready to coat
  • No grit embedded in the metal
  • Preserves fine detail and tolerances
  • Little or no masking needed

Surface prep

Paint & coating removal

We strip paint, powder coat, primers, lacquers and sealants with controlled passes. Because the process is selective, we can remove a top coat and leave the primer, or clean back to bare substrate.

Ideal for

  • Recoating and refurbishment projects
  • Selective or partial removal
  • Inspection prep (NDT, weld checks)
  • Aluminium and thin-gauge parts

Benefits

  • No warping or heat distortion
  • No chemical strippers or residue
  • Even, consistent surface profile
  • Faster turnaround on complex parts

Conservation

Heritage & stone restoration

Laser cleaning is a recognised conservation technique for delicate historic surfaces. It removes pollution crusts, soot and biological growth while protecting original material and patina.

Ideal for

  • Stone facades and limestone
  • Monuments, memorials and statues
  • Brickwork and decorative features
  • Historic metalwork and bronze

Benefits

  • No water saturation of masonry
  • Very fine control around carving
  • Protects original surface and patina
  • Works alongside conservation architects

Maintenance

Industrial & mould cleaning

We clean production equipment, moulds and tooling in place, often without dismantling or waiting for parts to cool. That means shorter shutdowns and less handling of expensive tooling.

Ideal for

  • Injection, tyre and die-cast moulds
  • Food-processing equipment
  • Production lines and conveyors
  • Planned maintenance shutdowns

Benefits

  • No abrasive wear on tooling
  • No media contaminating the line
  • Reduced downtime
  • Scheduled around your shifts

Fabrication

Weld preparation & finishing

Clean surfaces make better welds. We remove mill scale, oil and oxide before welding, and clear heat tint and discolouration afterwards for a clean, professional finish.

Ideal for

  • Stainless steel fabrication
  • Aluminium pre-weld cleaning
  • Heat-tint and oxide removal
  • Architectural metalwork

Benefits

  • Fewer weld defects and porosity
  • No pickling paste or acid
  • Precise and localised
  • Consistent, repeatable results

Restoration

Automotive & classic vehicles

Restorers use laser cleaning to strip chassis, panels and parts without the distortion and hidden grit that blasting can leave behind. It's gentle enough for original components you want to keep.

Ideal for

  • Chassis and subframes
  • Body panels and brackets
  • Engine and suspension parts
  • Agricultural and plant machinery

Benefits

  • No panel warping
  • No media trapped in box sections
  • Keeps part numbers and stampings
  • Ready for primer straight away

Public realm

Graffiti & stain removal

We remove graffiti, oil stains and marks from stone, brick, concrete and metal without ghosting or harsh chemicals running into drains.

Ideal for

  • Shopfronts and commercial premises
  • Public buildings and street furniture
  • Bridges and infrastructure
  • Signage and monuments

Benefits

  • No chemical runoff
  • Minimal ghosting or shadowing
  • Safe for porous surfaces
  • Quick response available

FAQ

Common questions

Will laser cleaning damage the surface underneath?

No. When set up correctly, the laser energy is absorbed by the contaminant, not the base material. We always run a test patch first to confirm the settings for your surface.

Can you work on-site?

Yes. Our equipment is mobile and we work on-site across Ireland. Smaller parts can also be dropped to our workshop.

Is it safe to use around my staff or premises?

We set up a controlled work zone with appropriate laser safety measures and fume extraction. Because there are no chemicals or abrasive media, other areas usually aren't affected.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the material, contaminant, area and access. Send us photos and dimensions and we'll give you a clear, fixed quote, usually within one working day.

Is laser cleaning faster than sandblasting?

For large, flat areas blasting can be quicker on raw removal rate. But once you count setup, masking, containment and clean-up, laser cleaning is often faster overall, especially on detailed or sensitive work.

Not sure which service you need?

Describe the job and send a photo. We'll recommend the right approach.
